The Offer

After driving by and scoping out the house on Friday, we set an appointment with a Realtor to see it on Saturday. We loved it, but wanted to see a few more before making a decision. We went out on Sunday afternoon and saw an overpriced wreck of a house, and that started to make the Yeoman house look great! (Not that it wasn't great before). We emailed our Realtor for an appointment on Monday, and she called us back right away and said that there had been a lot of showings, she could meet us right now if we wanted (Sunday night). After seeing it a second time, we decided to put in an offer, this is a fantastic house!

After some back and forth with the Realtor and the Lender, our offer got put in on Monday at 5:00, the owners had until Tuesday at 5:00 to respond. We waited anxiously to hear from them, and the first news we got was that there was another offer on the way, and the owners wanted us to extend our offer 24 hours so that they could compare. We politely declined this request, but the other bidders got their offer in before 5:00 anyway. It turns out that ours was the higher offer, and they accepted it!

Assuming everything goes well, we should close between July 25th and August 14th, so probably mid to late August. How exciting!
